DECEMBER 14, COMPLIMENTARY WORKSHOPS ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE MEET THE SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH
MONTH, at the Everett DSHS Community Service Office, 840 N Broadway, Bldg B, Room #103, 9 am - noon or 1 pm to 4 pm. The series
begins in December with a focus on Iraq and runs through June. A different culture is featured each month, including Russian
and Ukrainian, African American, Native American, Latino, SE Asian and Pacific Islander, and African Refugee/immigrants. The
workshops are sponsored by a consortium of organizations engaged in cultural diversity and they will include information on
employing a culturally-diverse workforce, as well as issues associated with businesses serving a culturally-diverse community.

DECEMBER 9, QUICKBOOKS FUNDAMENTALS FOR QUICKBOOKS BASIC, PRO AND PREMIER, CCD's Women's Business Center, 1437 S. Jackson,

Classes include: PIED PIPER PLAYERS (PREK/K), All Pied Piper Players classes explore physical expression; songs, rhythms

KINDERSTAGE (GRADES K-1), Tuition: $95. Kinderstage classes explore movement, voice, songs, rhythms and creative group storytelling.
Kinderstage provides a different theme each session and a playful approach to developing skills in theatre, listening and
cooperation. Classes include hands-on art projects and creative games. Explore theatre in class and then see a professional
performance on stage.
ELEMENTARY ACTING (GRADES 1-2), Tuition: $95. Elementary Acting helps develop skills in listening, creative problem solving,
taking turns, and following direction. Introductory character development and stage etiquette is explored in each class.
BROADWAY JUNIOR (GRADES 2-4), Tuition: $95. Class time includes learning music, staging, choreography, and rehearsal terminology.
What does it mean to “find a window” or “create a tableau”? What is a totem, a round-off a weave?
A revue will be performed for family and friends at the end of the session. (Broadway Jr. is designed to pair perfectly with
Stage Right to provide two full hours of excellent theatre instruction…and you save 10%!) Students work in a collaborative
style to develop a revue which includes such memorable favorites such as “Hard Knock Life”, “Maybe”,
“Tomorrow,” and “You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”
STAGE RIGHT (GRADES 2-4), Tuition: $95. Stage Right is designed for the young performer who thinks they want to be a star.
This class will explore the real skills necessary to be successful in a production. Approaching an audition, entrances and
exits, character development, strengthening the voice, using the body to express character and theatre etiquette are part
of every class. (Stage Right pairs perfectly with Broadway Jr. to provide two full hours of excellent theatre instruction…

ACTING I (GRADES 4-6), MAGICAL CHARACTERS, VILLAINS AND WITCHES, Tuition: $115. Acting I uses various themes to increase
skills in acting and personal expression. Invent the whole “being” behind the character, exploring voice, diction,
movement, emotional expression and stage presence. Theatre etiquette and technical theatre terminology will be introduced.
Conflict resolution at its best! Become a magical or villainous character from classic and contemporary literature such as
Harry Potter, and Voldemort, Puck and Titania, Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West, Peter Pan and Captain
Hook. Students will write alternate endings to explore what might happen if the characters made “better choices.”
ACTING II (GRADES 5-8), CLASSICAL CHARACTERS, Tuition: $115. Acting II uses various themes to further increase skills
in acting and personal expression. Invent the whole “being” behind the character, exploring voice, diction, movement,
emotional expression and stage presence. Advanced acting concepts including “intentions” and “tactics”
will be introduced. Discover the dramatic world of classical theatre by performing monologues and scenes from Greek tragedies,
Shakespeare, and more! Create fun authentic characters while uncovering the exciting world of classical acting.
MUSICAL THEATRE CHORAL SINGING (GRADES 6-12), Beginning and Intermediate. Tuition: $115. Build the skills necessary for getting
the part. Learn how to sing three and four-part harmony in small groups. Perfect for singers who want to expand vocal range,
strengthen breathing, learn how to sight-read and learn new music in a small class of eight students maximum. During class,
each student will receive individual as well as ensemble instruction.
MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION CLASS (GRADES 4-7) Tuition: $250. Back by popular demand! This performance-oriented class is
great for the young actor who is ready to be on the big stage. Participants receive special individual attention while learning
scenes and songs from the hit Broadway musical, Snoopy. Participants then perform two times on stage at the Everett Performing
Arts Center. The performance will provide each young actor an opportunity to shine. Excellent focus and experience in other
KIDSTAGE classes or drama programs is required. Call if you want to be sure your child qualifies.
